Call or email within 24 hours of your appointment and there is no charge. If less than 24 hours you will be charged full price for your session.

Your session:

Will I be sore?

You may. It is much like doing a workout. You are getting new blood to those muscles and some lactic acid may be released as well. Drink 2-3 glasses water after each session and get plently of rest. If you feel the sessions was an overload, I can change techniques and amounts of pressure next session.

Should I exercise before or after?

Before is better. Relax you just got a massage.

What if I have a cold?

If you are contagious, please stay home. If you are getting over it massage can help flush the lymph and blood and help you get over it faster.

Does it have to hurt to be effective?

No. "No Pain No gain." Does not apply here. However some people need to "feel" various degrees of pressure in order to best relax.

General Massage:

What are knots?

Muscle knots, also called myofascial trigger points, are abnormal areas within the muscle, which cause pain.. We do not know everything about what they are. However, they think they are either a build up of abnormal protein or excessive connective tissue.

What causes stress?

Anything that causes a "fight or flight" response in your body causes stress.. Major life changes, work, relationship difficulties, financial problems, being too busy, and children and family are just some of the things that cause stress.

How often should I get a massage?

Frequency of massage sessions vary. For injuries once a week can be very helpful. For regular health and wellness a minimum of once a month is recommneded. I get one every two weeks.
